progress.

11 11th, 2008

Things are coming along, good! Trying to do some visual
experimentation with projectors. The characters will stand
by the wall where the main footage is projected. Quite
keen on trying on various different textures too.

Also trying to come up with a good idea for my dissertation
writing, something related to my practical work… Hmm…

historic us election.

11 5th, 2008

He won. And he won with a very big majority. He won the historic us election.
40 years ago, black people and white people couldn’t share the same thing.
Is it a small sign that the world is slowly becoming a better place?

I was surprised to see this: http://www.myspace.com/barackobama
and also: http://www.facebook.com/barackobama
Surely things are different to 40 years ago.

pumpkins.

11 3rd, 2008

We enjoyed a little bit of American stuff over the weekend.
I did the one with eye patch, what a friendly pumpkin.

When I came back to London, I found this city pumpkin on Earl’s Court Rd.
It had six stars randomly curved in the face.
This is why we live in city I guess, if you know what I mean.

October snow in London

10 29th, 2008

I seem to remember last time when I saw snow was in April. It felt like a rare thing to happen. I was in Trent Park Campus - Middlesex University - to do some filming with a composer/pianist - very interesting person - for my new film. When I finished filming, I realized the rain wasn’t quite normal rain. It quickly changed into proper snow - quite heavy snow. I met this nice Jazzy man Michael, he studies Jazz at Trent Park. He saved me showing the way out to the composer, showing me the way to toilet and giving me a lift to tube station. Excellent person, just so kind and act like the air, so light. I regret that I didn’t promise next time meeting. I’ve met too many people who I can’t handle being friends with - basically I look like a horny little kitten when I have my hair down I guess - and now I don’t know how to be friends with who I want to be friend with.

secret sample sale.

10 27th, 2008

Against what it’s called, it was quite public.
It happened in ‘Truman Brewery’ last week.
Las one I went to was in Chelsea. It was nice.

‘The Secret Sample Sale’
http://www.secretsamplesale.co.uk/

Quite few Sergio Rossi shoes are there. (http://www.sergiorossi.com/)
They had mens cute jackets and pants by Todd Lynn. (http://www.toddlynn.com/)
And clothes and accessories were brought by several smaller retailers
from various different department stores I guess. This time they had quite good
shoe selection and I was really tempted to buy couple of pairs like YSL, Miu Miu,
Sergio Rossi. But I told myself not to as I didn’t go there for my own shopping purpose.

I picked up a blue/green coloured boston bag for a present. But I couldn’t resist myself when I saw this pair of brown shoes which looked totally capable and comfortable, with a tag said ‘35 pounds’. Wait, 35? Such a good bargain shopper I am. I have this obsession that I only wear shoes that are made in Italy. Don’t feel happy wearing shoes that weren’t made in Italy because I totally believe Italian shoes is the best in the world. Although this pair costs 35 pounds didn’t come with a big name, it comes with ‘Made In Italy’ on the sole. Yes, that’s right. Maybe that’s it. Chinese workers making them in Italy. I think it kind of spoils the feeling and of course the quality when you pay 300 for one pair of shoes. But surely Italian shoe association or something will come up with some kind of certificate to prove its quality. The shoes’ original price was 105 or something I thought, and I bought them for 35. I reckon they could be made in the factory in which non shoes professionals are working in, or maybe the company is simply not so known and there’s no name value also using moderately reasonable material - leather. It’s kind of perfect for London life I guess. All my other sensitive skinned *Missoni, Manolo, Rupert, Giuseppe are all sleeping in my covert. I can’t wear them in London, streets are so rough and people spill drinks, and rains are so unpredictable.

gadget smart.

10 21st, 2008

NOKIA E71 does pretty much everything I need. I didn’t really have to link it to my Mac as it works as one perfect mobile device independently. Although I didn’t need to I linked it with mac by using iSync and it worked perfectly. And it costs only 20GBP/month. Oh plus 5 for internet thing. Oh oh, and it has free skype that I can make free calls to family and friends in Japan. Now only thing that bothers me is the world time difference. What would happen if we all had the same time night and day. We’d have to start from managing each country where night is day, and day is night. There would be countries in which many people would get depression because of lack of sunshine during day=night. Suicide rates increases. I guess we’d have to cope with the world time difference to save people’s life.

By the way, you think grey is tacky and white is cooler.
You’re wrong wrong wrong. Check the back of white model, super tacky.

Rain, rain, rain.

Rainy day like this, Marc by Marc Jacobs army wellington boots do the job.

Green, big, heavy boots would protect my feet from cold, wet, windy weather.

‘TRAUMATIC’ screening.

10 10th, 2008

Video art work ‘TRAUMATIC’ was screened at Juppun Japan, 09/10/2008.
Having own work screened at an outdoor event is something.
perhaps a good experience.

Thanks to those who came to the event and were patient enough to
finish watching this slow piece.
